ALL ENCOMPASSING Date Written: June 30, 2000 (Sean R. Evans) I'm alive--I start kicking Light in my eyes, I start screaming The earth is cold--I start shaking Here in hell I awaken... By the light of dawn I start feeling But touch my heart you'll see its freezing Wind licks my cheek--I start aging Everyday I wake up I think I'm dreaming High noon, now I’m roaming There is so much that exists here to see And I can sense the earth is turning What else could there possibly be? Well I guess that's what the churches, the foundations, and the prophets do… They answer that for you But its really a simple question devoid of reason we cannot fathom It's all Encompassing Now it is night, the moon is waning A hundred years and I’m still here All around the war is raging All to hide a one fear In the night I sometimes wonder Is there anything to compare life to? A soft rain, the crash of thunder Is it enough to carry you through? Well I guess that's what the churches, the foundations, and the prophets do… They answer that for you To me it’s a simple question we cannot reason with what we cannot fathom The all Encompassing And into this wheel Ones who think and feel…pain Living and dying again and again Spinning around the sun Which is spinning around the one…galaxy Moving with others through infinity Morning comes in all it’s splendor Parabolic age, all life is rendered Rust on a stone, memory yearning All around me the world is burning (www.evansbuay.com)
